Biel, Switzerland, 12.08.2024 - 01.09.2024
We are offering a residency in Biel, Switzerland.
The aim of the residency is to create a work for the exhibition Kantine de la résonance, which will open on 31.08.2024.
The residency will take place between 12.08.2024 - 01.09.2024 for a duration
of two to three weeks, depending on the candidate.
We are providing accommodation in Biel and covering transportation fees up to
500 CHF.
For the production of a new work, we offer a production fee of 500 CHF and the
artist will receive an additional fee of 500 CHF for participation.
The work can be a social project involving the residents of Biel or address
topics relevant to the city.
As a suggestion, we propose the following themes:
watch industry, Röstigraben, bilingualism, multilingualism,
history of Biel, integration in Biel.
Projects can also address unnamed topics.

Conditions:
- We encourage newcomer artists; this should be your first residency.
- You must be an EU/EFTA citizen.
- You are not a Swiss resident.
Your application should contain:
- Your portfolio and cv (maximum of 6 works)
- Short motivational letter
- Ideas and sketches that you want to develop during the residency
- The ideal duration of your stay and travel costs
The jury will notify you of their decision by email by 10.06.2024
